Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Not The Place To Come For Real Info Anymore

There is too much of "the sky is falling" by some who are still inherently p-ss-d about being let go so they unlock this piece inside of them of "everyone should have to feel what I experienced" and present it as them just coming here to check back up on things at Molina. Fill this in "_______ loves company". I said it once before - if your "happy" to be out of here and "finally free" then you already know what question I'm going to ask...Then why you here? I have been laid off from jobs that I hated and truly was ecstatic to be chosen to be laid off - to this day I couldn't tell ya if the company is still around, doing great, still downsizing or what have you. Why? Because I truly do not care. Does that mean I have to go and warn current employees about what may or may not happen with their jobs? Nope, not my concern anymore. Not one time did I want to go check up on the welfare of the business. Now, it goes without saying that at times there is genuine curiosity in the form of "hmm wondering what's going on over at Ol Molina?" That I truly get - its human nature. I am talking about the "get out now" doomsday watchers trying to scare others out of Molina. If I see an old colleague from a previous job I was laid off at however long ago I may ask how things are going at the business but I don't start giving them dire warnings.

A lot of ppl on here spread fear bc they probably felt wronged and betrayed and as if those two aren't bad enough in order to get a severance of some sort and survive without losing their homes, cars, etc., they more less have to answer the question at the door as they are escorted out of "Who's ur Daddy?" just to have to get past every emotion they feel to mutter "You are Molina". So in order to stick it to Molina they want the execs to feel like nobody wants to be a part of their company by mass quittings and wants Molina to feel like nobody wants any part of them. THAT is why these doomsday ppl do it. They want morale to be down, they want numbers to be off and make us miss, but most of all they want you to show up to work fearing for ur job and in a mindset of "what's the point I'm probably going to feet laid off anyways". That's the kind of people u want info from?

The simple truth is this typing this thread Molina layoffs has become completely unreliable for accurate information . For everyone person who divulges accurate information there are 15 more that play off of that knowing the fear it will strike in people. Coming here and speculating is one thing but coming here to speculate with the intention of causing others to fear for their jobs is another. Go back and look at the posts prior to Pink snitch divulging info to this group about a year ago - you will hardly see any posts that give such lucrative inside information. Ever since pink gave up that info it literally opened doors for everybody to act like pink with insider info which allowed them to spread false claims.

Yes, You are right the Pink I know - the REAL Pinksnitch has been on it. I am telling you the other person claiming tk be Pinksnitch is in fact the latter. This other clown saying brace yourselves as well. The Pink I know doesn't give one line sentences. What desk isnt important but you can say my vote counts

Again, would have come across my desk FIRST if more mass layoffs were happening. They aren't - please believe me when I say this. You guys are good ppl and I know the layoffs have put u all in a terrible position of worry and fear. I couldnt imagine living like this - coming to this site for info. I have wanted to blurt out so many things but did not even know about this site until I was looking up some info on Molina stock. I am truly heartbroken having been reading these posts the past four or five days. I am telling you that yes there are some small layoffs still but nothing massive

the execs and other "leaders" just go on the US merry go round of revolving doors or "start ups" ready to "disrupt" the health care etc... Clowns. Corporate Stockholm syndrome

Same here! Ride the wave on out. If they can me- fine- give me my check and I’ll pinch a huge loaf on the way out just as all my fallen brothers have in the past!

During unemployment we skip healthcare and use ER if needed with low income clinics. Mergers when they happen always lay-off. So it’s not guarantee you have a job. I’ve never been able to afford what I want. Nor has hard work gotten that for me. Nothing is secure in healthcare for much longer. So that’s my point. Ride the wave with minimal effort. And....single. So it’s only me who goes down if I fail. Look at every healthcare site here. They all aren’t doing well and morale has left the building

I can understand that about not wanting to work hard when a company doesnt care, but whats easier - working hard and doing well, getting a decent paycheck, being able to afford things u want/need or filing for unemployment, applying for jobs, waiting for a dismal check from unemployment, paying $1200 month for health insurance for you and your family?

Lets say there is a sale pending of Molina - wouldnt you hope to be kept by whatever company would be buying. What if its more money?

Staff must be realizing though that while some call us sensitive snowflakes, we just point blank realize the company doesn’t care. So we don’t either. Why work hard if you are going to be canned anyway? Shrugging shoulders...

Do you mean the "top tank deposit" posts are not accurate? I only come here now and then for those.

Yes I agree - The REAL intel that keeps people in the loop is most valuable but these doomsday people know that ppl hang onto this site for info and leadership isnt going to announce it. It damn near k–led the whole company's morale with project Nickel. Good info is great on here and I to can appreciate the value in it but look how many posts kept telling people it was coming in August, then it was September-ish and by September they meant October-ish. Im just as p-ss-d at the company for letting good ppl go but as a business that has billions in stake they aren't going to release the kind of information they did back when project nickel happened because in essence while they were trying to be transparent they inadvertently created a mass panic and morale dropped to an all-time low and your company can't be making billions of dollars if you have employees who figure "why do any work they are going to get rid of me anyways".

That being said I think some sort of a comprehensive list of departments that may be affected would be nice but think about this- if you own a business what's 10000 + employees or even ran a business with that many employees and your paycheck was on the line could you create Mass Hysteria if you were making the kind of money some of the leadership team makes?

And it is the only forum to know when something actually goes down. Leadership still has not announced the layoffs.
I do appreciate our folks letting us know and what they think is to come.

and their is nothing valuable about spreading false propaganda b.s. - ppl like u and me knkw to read between the lines but when I start hearing rumors at work from others that came from here then that's when I have an issue.

At one point it was much more accurate. It used to be a place one could come and try to get the social sentiment of our environment and other locations sentiments. For instance, if they laid off every claims rep in the most profitable state - if I were a claims rep what would make me think my job in my state would be safe? Now, if someone said "I heard they let every claim rep with less than 2yrs expdrience" and I was at say 4yrs well then its safe to say my job would (for the most part) be safe. Now it is inundated by "Get Out While U Can" or "Its a sinking ship look elsewhere for a job" Sh– gets old.

It has never been accurate. It has always been valuable, you always have to read between the lines!
