All the stealth layoffs do is prolong the inevitable. Not fooling the analysts. When the cash runs out for the massive stock buybacks, which it will soon, ORCL will hit the wall over a short period of weeks not months. Huge layoffs will follow. Then they will have wished they had played by the rules and followed the WARN act ALL ALONG and cleaned house while they still had a chance to right the ship. It’s a pattern of evasion that is soon going to bite them in the you know what.

If those have a 4 year vesting period they might be in a quandary, especially if OCI RSU's are as generous as some here claim them to be.
WARN layoffs notice may mean limited number of workers visa so it's best interest for Oracle not to show any WARN notice,
And after we’re gone, we won’t care about Oracle anymore.
Based on what I have seen on this board that's highly unlikely.
Doesn't Wall St. encourage and even reward companies that have layoffs?
Haha– People who are there inside are also dont care about oracle and waiting for RIFs. My team- most of them are 20+yrs are just waiting for something to happen to walk away. On the other hand teams in OCI have huge RSUs just sitting to cash it. No one cares about Oracle anymore (customers are also avoiding oracle like corona virus). It will be a slow death before some company buys the DB product for firesale price-in couple of years, immediately after OCI's big failure
Whether it’s a stealth layoff or preceded by WARN, the end result is the same for those affected.
And after we’re gone, we won’t care about Oracle anymore.
