Central Office (Switch) Maintenance Special Services/Design Services Installation and Maintenance Technician– An individual that has highly qualified skill sets, to include an excellent working knowledge/understanding of repair for all types of mechanical/digital Central Office switching equipment and switch circuit installations and repair including Digital Loop Carrier, Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier, asynchronous, SONET and DWDM systems and special circuit/design services. This rate includes a highly qualified technician required to complete assigned tasks. Individual must possess a working knowledge of the cable color code and be able to readily identify assigned network components. They have to test, when they can't figure it out they will have to fly someone in.

this would be a LEGACY TECH POSITION and they are have put most of these guys out to pasture . Where in the hell do they think they will find anyone with all this knowledge ?
