There are companies large and small who expect you to know your job and do the right thing for the customer, employees, etc., and they support you and reward you for it. Metrics are just that: measurement, not a goal for your VP to beat you into submission about. I didn’t know how much it affected me until I was out from under that yoke. For the first time in YEARS I’m excited to go to work, not fearful or depressed.
I know there are many many folks at O that are in that rut. Believe me, it’s worth doing whatever you can to transition out. Your life will improve in ways you can’t imagine.

You cannot blame Oracle. Look somewhere else if you're not happy there. Unless you know your skill sets are underwhelming and overpaid.
Disgusting. The top brass is lavishly paid while the worker bees never see another dime. There are companies out there who are not as sadistic as Oracle.
