Employee Satisfaction Survey

Anyone else getting harassed about this? I’m guessing it’s tied to bonuses for management

Manager has been bringing up random things and relating them to things on the survey (they aren’t) and then asks so there’s no reason you won’t give an A right?

Former SVP here as well. Response rate is the most important and if you dont want to go through all the result related BS that never ever moves the dial....dont give negative marks to your manager (even if deserving...its not worth and only takes away from the work you should be doing). However, do negatively rate your benefits...which have progressively gotten worse and worse over the years). Im outta that company and never been happier

Former SVP at BofA here. The percentage completed is WAY more important than the feedback. Pro tip: if you want to provide negative feedback the best way to do it is by not taking the survey.
I know I would have been sh-tting my pants if it were my team. Sooo glad to be out of that hell hole.

Walked into work this morning and the "The survey is coming hoorah for us posters were up. " Also this year was a list of things you can put on the survey and things you can't like pay (and I assumed bonuses). I think I'll skip the survey this year. It's going to hurt my manager's rating who I really like and respect but I'm not going to waste my time again in a rigged survey designed to make management look good.

Give every manager and every category highest level, then they have no point in doing it next year. Doing less will get you in trouble, as already pointed out the manager will try to figure out who, and you could be caught in the cross fire whether you marked them down or not. Everyone knows the survey results are BS and nothing is ever really done about them.

Annual takeaways:
I need more communication (wrong!)
I need more skip levels (wrong!)
I need more education (wrong!)

My boss tries to figure out every year who wrote what in the commentary. They say those surveys are anonymous but they are tracked and funneled to the manager of the team. So it’s really not anonymous.

Yes still talk about the survey. Jobs are on the line. Can’t wait to leave.

Manager has brought it up in almost every meeting this year (which happen almost everyday), last year even manager’s manager came in to down play all of our issues and how his department deserved good ratings, think doing that again some time this week, they are pissing people off
