Looks like this last layoff was about 300 people for DST. For the people left that did not get hit in this layoff, there is another one being planned for April. As the DST Senior Management stands up and says, "there will be no more layoffs, this is it" another layoff list is circulating for the next hit in April.

I am surprised that more supervisors has not quit since the first of the year two of our best supervisors quit and one laid off. Their team members spread out between the ones that are still here the whole company is a joke and what really makes me mad is there trying to hide it especially since humana's leaving I mean it was in the news you can Google it yet they will not discuss it or tell you about it they purchase their own PBM the only extended their contract with us long enough to get things set up
Apparently not cuz it's almost May and still no April layoffs
Since the SS&C acquired DST, it was immediate things were going to get worst. The morale at the company went to hell. We operated daily on dishonesty which affected morale. Our customer service department literally ended up a skeleton crew making it difficult to meet client service levels. We were taking on new clients with no additional headcount. The pay is horrible for the Customer Service representatives for the amount of work and stress they have to endure on a daily basis.
I refused to drink the Kool-Aid and happy I left. It's my hope that one day it will get better, but not looking good at this point. This company does not care about the employees, only the bottom line.
Soooo happy I left!
Does anyone know if people in the call center will get laid off or are they too cheap to pay us little people severance package and just wait for us to quit
This should not be suprising to anyone. Stone only knows three business tactics acquire, sell services, reduce. To the naked eye ss&c stock is an unbelievable buy, it should be above $80. Upon closer inspection one will notice a constant cycle of complete inability to grow. A company showing a track record of reduction with no period of growth is a company smart investers want nothing to do with.
With the clients canceling their contracts, the April layoff will be around 300 more individuals. The severance package is only 2 weeks total, not 2 weeks for each year of employment. There will only be a skeleton crew left to run the show. The folks are lucky they were let go when they were.
Management working in the call center and things are horrific. We can't meet our clients goals and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. It was bad in the DST days and is terrible now. It's clear that Stone has no intention for investing to meet his clients need.
What's your favorite list?
Severance package is horrible. 2 weeks.
Is this USA only? Or DST UK too?
What kind of lay-off packages are people getting?
I am part of the SS&C/DST Executive team & there are plenty of layoffs scheduled the rest of the year targeting lower management.
I work as part of the DST/SS&C management and can tell you there are plenty of layoffs due for the rest of the year. No one is safe as the decision is not on the worker it is purely down to cost.
As for ALPS in Denver.... I heard they are done. Especially after the DOW sinks to 16k
Healthcare is about to get turned upside down when Bernie takes over.
Big shift happening as the economic collapse has just started.
If they are dissolving, why are they taking on new clients? I would think they would stop sales, it takes a lot of money and effort to put these clients on a system. It also can’t just be shut down, Healthcare does not work that way. It can take over a year to transition clients.
What about ALPS Funds in Denver???? I heard they were safe.
We talked to people who saw the two lists. One for February and another for April.
Get out now
Health Solutions side is being dissolved. End date 09-01-2021.
Are there enough people left on health and pharmacy side to even function?
How do we know there were two lists?
Management is telling us all is well. Its like standing in front of an on coming train and them telling you there is no train then the train hits you.
The people remaining keep drinking the koolaid and listening to the lies of management.
You are right. There were two lists. One for the layoff that just occurred and another for April.
