UHC & OPTUM LAYOFFS past 2 years thru March 2020

UnitedHealth Group (UHC & Optum) will be laying off employees (Aka Reduction in Force or RIF) on Wednesday, 03/04/20 or Thursday, 03/05/20.
UHG has being laying off employees for 2 years in waves. They do this so they can void the Warn Act and keep the layoffs out of the news. I have predicated many of these layoffs as I have an inside source in HR in MN. UHG has increased the layoffs since early 2019.

Confirmed lay off dates as I know of today.

1) 10/02/19-Wednesday
2) 11/05/19-Tuesday
3) 11/20/19-Wednesday
4) 12/04/19-Wednesday
5) 12/23/19-Monday
6) 01/02/20-Tuesday
7) 02/06/20-Thursday
8) 02/18/20-Tuesday
9) 02/19/20-Wednesday
10) 03/04/20 Wednesday-Optum will be hit hard but layoffs will occur across all of UHG.
11) 03/05/20 Thursday. Optum will be hit hard but layoffs will occur across all of UHG.

Anyone laid off in 2018 and from January 2019 - September 2019. Please provide the exact date you were laid off so we can update the list.

Maybe this might get news coverage once we have all the layoff dates.

David Wichmann is greedy person and started this the layoff waves when he became CEO on September 1, 2017. Karma will get him.

Any new updates?

Our positions were stripped from us and outsourced to over seas workers who work for less than 1/3 and at 1/10 the experience level and care nothing about benefits due to socialized medicine and other government Programs in their countries that provide this. Can someone please please please tell me where are our representatives in Washington on this. I have a good idea. At the banks cashing the contribution or other money’s given to them to look the other way

11/5 lay-off almost 5 years at optum and now they have filled my position and more😳

@OP. Thanks for copying my post on the UnitedHealth Group threads. I did all the research on the layoffs. I guess the more UHG employees that know the better.

Telecommuters were terminated in 3 waves. We were notified in July and I am part of the third wave whose last day is Tuesday, March 3. After 25 years with this company, fired for being a telecommuter. Lots of talent and knowledge lost when blindly firing a whole population of employees.

Another post had indicated the layoffs would be to Optum clinical operations.

What departments are affected in this week’s wave?

10/30/17-Monday. Very close to beginning of 2018 and the beginning of Wichmann's CEO tenure.
