When will salary re-balancing be communicated? It’s been held over our heads for a couple of years now, yet I know no one who took a pay cut. I know dozens personally who took a job cut. Strategy change or “first things first”? Or idle threat meant to drive further attrition?

Referring to last comment: I am unaware of any real VP remaining in Webster. Those with the title already have been replaced by non-local but are staying on to “finish tasks”.
I've been told that role realignment is happening now in Webster at the VP level.
Roll realignment has started in some groups...just because you haven’t heard or seen anything yet doesn’t mean it isn’t occurring.
In Canada they've cut pay raise. Yep, I'm at my second interview for a better job all around. What a slap in the face!
They won't decrease existing salaries. The savings of cutting salary a couple percent would be negligible. Real savings comes from layoffs or rebadging, if only for the short term.
It is highly unlikely they will cut salaries directly, other than by eliminating merit increases which they said would happen this year.
In the past when they had role realignment the first string was the “B” managers who lost people due to ratio changes (ex. from 1 mgr/2 reports to 1 mgr/8 reports)
They lost all B band bonuses, some had their level changed from D5 to D4 for example as a result of having no direct reports. Not sure what they’ll do this time. It has already started within some organizations, some mgr were even laid off.
It's coming. "Role realignment" or something to appease the HR gods in order to legally justify reducing salaries for some who they don't want to keep paying the higher wages to, but still can't afford to IRIF them from a resource or SME perspective.
Question is legit. We were told it was coming and then nothing.
Dumbest thread so far.
