@7dyp someone at lunch told me about that command center the other day. let’s hope
none of those people have covid-19 and is spreading it around to everyone in there! some of them flew in from other places right? nice.
Ok boomer... again.
@9nyg i agree. wait till the first employee gets a confirmed case especially if that employee was asked/implored to travel for company biz. hello, employment attorney!

Still no firm stance on travel restrictions. Chevron being reactive as ever. Microsoft has been restricting travel - do we only want to emulate tech when it supports leadership’s agenda?
@7ztt, so you agree, you're useless. Oh, and that's "OK Gen-X-er"
Ok boomer.
So it's another excuse for free stuff. Reason to work from home and Fk-off instead of work. Wow. you've really got everyone fooled here guys. Wow. Good cover. Tell them you want more sick days too, losers even though you're perfectly well. We've hadn't heard that one yet. Sure. Yawn........
Yet everyone still wants free stuff. Working at home without supervision so that they can F-off, more sick days, this, that, whatever. Yawn. Nothing has changed for the snowflakes except giving them a fake reason to F-off all day. Imagine that.
So other companies are canceling travel and large events and encouraging telecommuting...meanwhile, Chevron is having people from Houston get on a plane to fly to San Ramon so they can sit in the basement of building H (in close quarters) so they can figure out how to keep employees safe from the coronavirus. Sounds about right...
Chevron is having twice a day calls on the virus situation at the command center in the basement of building H.
nothing burger. yawn...........
I would not be dismissing this topic as it has several angels where each of us can be adversely impacted. So, hear me out:
- Quarantine driven - global demand drops, prices crater = layoffs
- Anyone hourly - less work, less $$$, most people have no $$$ saved
- Less intl commerce due to fear (already happening)
- Cannot travel, movement restrictions
- Cash flow issues - layoffs
- If severe, copays for medical go through the roof
That's just a few reasons why this topic should be on any layoffs board

Do they also have a site somewhere where layoff's are discussed? I heard there is.
Nothing. Carry on.
