Shaw already started their covid cleansing so I would imagine Telus will follow . They can blur the covid crises with a lay-off in the murky water and still keep the shareholders happy .

Telus will do whatever they need to do to maintain investor confidence and yes usually means headcount reductions irrespective of ones perceptions of there relative worth. The sad thing is that the senior management has been trained in irrelevant memes that distract from the truth. Any supplier of commodity, and include telecommunications in this, are a cost side manager. Try not to take It personally even though it is personal. Finally don’t believe what your boss or bosses bosses boss tells you the reason is because it’s made up, and they don’t even know it.

Do you know if it will effect other provinces as well? Specifically Ontario?
