The coronavirus is bad enough on its own. I don't think even Sam's Club can make it any worse.
But they will probably try.
It's a win-win for Sam's Club/Walmart. Huge sales increase from panic buying, then mass terminations of higher paid associates as they get sick and are pointed out of a job to be replaced by lower paid new people.
Where are clubs running out of stuff?
Stock market may be struggling but Walmart stock is holding strong. Definitely surprised since so much comes from China

Right now it's affecting their stocks well. Once the virus spreads then you'll see the losses. There is too much panicking. My wife's job is already making plans for them to work from home (office job). Once 1 person in their building gets sick they're closing the whole place and everyone stays home. My son works in the restaurant business, and they will be hit hard. We've all prepared. We have our meds, food, and any supplies we will need. If we have to stay home we will be fine. If it all blows over without much happening then we will still be fine.
Sam's will be hit pretty good if places start to close for quarantines. That also means our wallets will be hit too. Hope everyone has enough PTO.
