I completely agree with most of what stated. However, the term geezers is really offensive to many. Regardless, if this refers to 50+ or 70+, not cool. The “ge---r’s referred to are those employees that have poured their life’s into this company. Who have tremendous knowledge and experience. Sadly, we will all be there someday. The sad ending is this company will kick you to the curb once you earn six figures and turn 45+. They can get someone straight out of school for a third of the cost, regardless of their experience or knowledge. The CEO Andy and CFO Jim including a few Sr. Staff are cut-throats. (SLC). Karma or should I say justice was served as they were dumped. CEO enjoyed his many girl friends by giving them promotions. CEO cut anyone who he disliked or had their own thought. Not a yes man/girl and kissed his feet each morning , you were gone. L3 CSW SLC was a great place and valued their employees at one time That ended 10-15 years ago. I do hope the company can get it together and hire smart decent and fair Executives to turn performance and morale around.
I was never allowed to get a laptop when I worked in Grand Rapids. A company with "technologies" in their name so it makes zero sense.
Lots of people knew very little about basic computer programs, including management. Watching them try to talk their way through something that they knew nothing about was hysterical.
(Grand Rapids is the worst.)
They're probably thinking if they let the geezers get it, it's that many less they need to lay off....
What a great point you made about the geezers working there. Its a tech company who refuses to allow their employees to use technology to work remotely. We work for a nonessential company and should be working remote. What a dump!
They arent very smart so they will wait until half the company has it then close. It makes it more scary because of the huge number of senior citizens that work there.
