Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

A word to those rebadged who are still working.

I was "released" on February 10th from HCL. I was paid for my final days on February 15, a bit early because I was hourly and usually paid on the 26th. I was paid on the 27th, unsure if it was bonus or severance. After many emails it turns out that was my bonus. My severance is slated to be paid March 15th or 26th. Just sharing so you all can plan accordingly. The information passed through core management is not always accurate.

Was there anything in the separation agreement mentioning you can't apply for another role inside Xerox/XBS?

Thank you for the info. Our core is set to have our first five HCL rebadged people done around March 20. I know information has been hit and miss between HCL and the cores.

So, even though you didn't make it to one year (I assume most were rebadged on April 1), you still got your stay bonus?

Severance payment times also depend on:

  • How quickly you choose sign a separation agreement - anyone over 40 years old has 21 days because of federal law
  • How long the revocation period is (time between when you sign and then YOU can say "nevermind")
  • When the next pay cycle is

Take the day you signed + the number of days in the revocation period stated on your agreement and then figure out when the next pay cycle. Payrolls usually take a few days to process and send to your bank so if your revocation period ends right before a pay day, you'll probably get your $ two weeks after that since the payroll is already done.

Read the agreement really carefully and have a lawyer look at it if you can.
