XBS cores with employees that report to Xerox

Question for the XBS cores that have employees that now are “Xerox” employees. We have some people at our core who now report up through Xerox. They tend to be managers and above. They get their own laptop from Xerox, too. Anyone know what this means or why this is done? Are these people more/less safe than the rest of us who still are “Core” employees? Thoughts?

IMO they are not any more safe than current "XBS" employees. Everyone is being centralized where possible and that move is just another piece to the process. XBS is still able to keep a little bit of autonomy but is melting into heritage Xerox slowly but surely.

Oh brother. First off there is no more ‘core’ logic. It’s all xerox. Second and listen because it’ll be on the test later - no one is safe. You’re not seeing reality if you think there is a safe option at this company anymore. Costs in blew through $5 on this futile HP chase. A large portion if not all funded through layoffs and attrition.

I see it as confirmation that XBS is not a standalone company. It's now an internal division of the Xerox mothership.

What kind of question is this? Where have you been??? There is NO more XBS/GIS core local operation. Everyone is now Xerox.
It takes time to transition people...
