Call me foolish, but I am now starting to realize this is a dead end job. I have been here 4 years with good reviews and metrics. I have applied for numerous positions without a response. Always thank you, but you have not been selected. Not even an interview. Very frustrating......,

@Bknv+13QSI3uF They sure do but be careful, they lay off more than Humana and they do it in continual smaller increments so as not to have to invoke the WARN act. Go read their page here on the layoff.com. Very enlightening.
Unless you’re connected you will never advance at Humana. They pay lip service to sound the part of a caring company but in the end it’s a for profit venture. You’ll be let go if they can find a way to show more profit for the shareholders and bonuses for the C suite.
Benefits are pretty good, time off and retirement match, if you’re making a decent salary hang with it, get your experience and try getting on with United. They like Humana employees because we are well trained.
I work as an in-home care manager. Referrals are few to none weekly. When we were travelling we didn't even get paid for travel time. I'm barely making it financially and was even before Covid-19 hit.
I think part of the issue is that there are few management roles available
No one is bitter, but yes, there is frustration
@znd+13QSI3uF How bitter we get when we can't become what we so despise.
My entire team feels that way. We have all been promised that if we volunteer for everything that’s being offered & do a bunch of extra work it will he noticed & we will have the chance to move up. Well in the 5 years I’ve been here there’s been 2 management jobs open In our region & they were filled with our leaders friends. They catered the job description to who they wanted to give the positions to. Some nurses have been waiting for 10 years to be promoted. It’s not lack of education or experience either, most of us have been nurses for over 20 years & have Our BSN’s & CCM’s.
Same. So much same. Feel like I’m being blocked or something.
