Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

This company just lies to its employees

If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. That is the truth. Employees are being misled so that management can hold on to competent employees before they run out of cash.

Has anyone looked at how many people are leaving in the finance department? That's a leading indicator.

SungardAS was always poorly managed. These good ol boys got real comfortable selling the same systems to many clients over and over. They could not see what was coming while sitting back in their chairs smoking cigars and getting bags of money as each one left.

The workers made SunGard. Any success was because of them/us and it was in spite of management. Especially after the Infosys contract. Whomever at SunGard ok’d that deal should have to clean the rest rooms.

So true. The leadership's current ideas are what the company was doing well ten years ago, but AS gutted. Decline, after decline, after decline. If only they could warp back to 2010, that old strategy may work. In 2020, focusing on colo with old, underinvested, and overpriced data centers — good luck!

Agreed. Ever since AS came on board 10 years ago, they have always lied. The allhands calls would say one thing and then BAM...layoffs a few months later. All of upper management is a complete joke. All remianing LT need to be fired.
