Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

It is over - isn't it??

Macy's stock just hit $9.66 and seems as if there is no bottom. Sorry $9.57 and there is no bottom. Wait $9.54. Now in just one minute or less the stock has hit a low that has not been seen in a long time. $9.53 now as I type. What this means is investors are not satisfied with the performance of the company or its plan to dig out of the pit of retail hell.
As I was there I saw something that has not changed in over 10 years - doing the same thing expecting different results. $9.51
It is sad to see such an American iconic company fall this far from where it once stood. $9.49
At this point I do not know if the current status of the business plan can save this company.
So many people poured their heart and soul into the company and worked hard to achieve what? Being laid off, having hours cut? Now those remaining must do the impossible work of three maybe 4 or 5 people. Prior to the last round of cuts it was impossible to produce any meaningful results when one manager had over 4 jobs to complete. $9.41
If you remain you may consider removing yourself from the path of the sinking ship. The stress from the job alone will hurt you in many ways.
I would like to see this company soar again as would many in the country, but something has to change - go back to being a department store not a political tool, stop trying to be everyone's buddy - be the retail icon that sells goods at a fair price with high store standards and customer service that is beyond expectations. Ell else means nothing if you do not attract and keep the customer base that supports your business.

I agree that closing San Francisco office was a very good decision by CTO Naveen.
