Embarrassed to be working for this company during all of this. My location has a Sunglass Hut and they've temporarily closed. Goes to show how much BPS really cares about their employees/customers health. Management doesn't seem to understand basic hygiene nor give us the necessary tools we need to keep areas clean. You would think all shopping carts and baskets be sanitized to prevent spread but, no. The basics things aren't even enforced. Karma will come and it won't be pretty.

Grateful to have a job and not complaining. Just voicing what's I see and how things are taken care of. Clearly, not enough action is being taken by the company and this pandemic is not being taken serious.

Greed. Grew to fast under a bad economy beginning in 2008. Then had to have Cabela’s. It has been obvious they are struggling financially, work people like dogs because of not having enough outfitters to take care of the busy days. Cutting more and more on hours. Club cards is the only concern and making as much money as they can. They could care less about the outfitters or they would shut down for two weeks and give this virus a chance to slow down. However they are opening a hour earlier for the elderly to come get essentials. We don’t have essentials. You make us all look as ignorant as you high ups in corporate.

I use to work for a division of BPS in that corporate office. It's all a bunch of close minded people. They mean well but are NOT open to best practices and healthy practices. Only care about the bottom line - money. I am all for supporting hunting and outdoor lifestyle but not at the cost of lives. ESPECIALLY when the dang president says "hey work from home" if you can. It also totally is possible for each person there to work from home. SO disappointed and saddened for my old coworkers.

I work at a bass pro and people are going nuts buying ammo and guns. All I see is people coughing in their hands and touching everything. I live with someone who is 75 yrs old and just finished chemotherapy so her immune system is down. I am getting to the point that I don’t feel safe for myself or my mother. We are NOT an essential store imo and to help stop the spread they need to shut down temporarily. People will not stay home to stop the spread if there is a store open for them to go to.

Some people at our store have gotten sick. A older cashier in his 80's just started coughing tons and he was sent home without pay and told not to come back until he's better. Not to mention customers are stating they wont touch our pinpads and that we have to do it

Honestly, bass is my third job. I dont need it anymore. I'm really just debating on leaving because I've worked at 8 different companies, I've traveled for cabelas, bass pro, ducks unlimited and while the employees are great, you are just a cogwheel to the admins.

When you join a company that finally treats you like a like minded individual and wants you to succeed the feeling is insane.

Probably because of all the misspelling and ignorant language. As someone in their mid 20’s I am less worried about myself, but more worried about infecting those around me unknowingly. Some people don’t have vacation or sick time to use and can’t afford to not work. I hope I don’t get sick, but more importantly, hurt someone around me in the process.

Why do I get the feeling that the last three posts were by the same individual?

You guys that think it it be shut down are a bunch of r—ded news followers I'm sure. I work for bass pro and am glad that we are still open. Just because you believe the media that's your stupidity!!!! Not everyone can afford to just stop working. Mr. Morris is still letting people work and live. The virus is no more then a flu. For all of you that think they should shut down is no better then the f—tards that went and started fighting over toilet paper. If you think it's so bad then dont show up.

I also work for john morris, at a white river marine location, and some of you should be more grateful that they are still open and making a check, you could be like the millions of americans out of work waiting on the gov for a free check. Why must the doors stay open u ask? Well in the wake of this virus, in times we cant even keep tp on the shelves let alone food, people resort to going out and getting the food they need through means of hunting fishing etc. Where else you gonna get it when the trucks stop????? Should be a lil more thankful in times of pannic, if you dont feel safe coming to work stay home and use your vacation, or just dont get paid without penality.

I’m so very disappointed in Bass Pro Shops for still being open with this Pandemic. Open an hour earlier for the elderly for essentials. We have nothing that is essential to health This is simply greed and proof they could care less about there employees. While hair salons barbershops closing and other no necessary shops closing. While the executives sit in there ivory towers and being separated with groups of 4 or less. They have no idea what it’s like to be in our shoes. We are dealing with people hoarding ammunition and buying more guns. Fishing classic is going on and they want more money. Simply greed... Cabela’s was a bad decision and they are trying to keep it afloat.

I had to leave a BPS store I work at and was told I would not be paid to be home unless I wanted to use my vacation or sick time. Johnny Morris spends millions taking care of things like Ducks Unlimited but won’t spend a dime on his employees. Many that work at are store are retired and elderly. This company is to concerned about selling guns and fishing poles. I left work as there was a chance I was exposed and I think there were at least 4 others at our store that were exposed as well. Keep selling and screw the people that make this a successful company. Not quite sure if I’ll go back

Auburn location is refusing to shutter its doors, clean, take precautions, or stock front end or customer service staff with essential items to appropriately clean. Theirs now 4 confirmed cases in my county with many elderly folk still flocking to the store. We're almost completely out of ammo as well.

AGAIN BASIC CLEANING.
LIMITED CLEANING SUPPLIES.
No system in place to create a deep a clean system.
AND NOW THEY WANT A F—ING ELDERLY HOUR.

this is absolutely insane.
DESPICABLE!
ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE.

I work for this company and asked Human Resources to please close the stores. I expressed my concern that people like myself are in the higher risk category and shouldn't be here. I said as long as the store is open we feel obligated to go to work. I got a reply in less than an hour.: You are welcome to stay home and use your vacation and sick time you have accrued. I have worked here more than 17 years. wow. Use my own earned vacation hours up or risk my life. I was shocked/not shocked. I have really loved working at this store but this was a wake up call for me. I'll go tomorrow and tell them I'll see them in a couple weeks or when this "risk" dies down to a safe level.

Here in WV at the distribution center, they haven’t cleaned anything. They put Clorox wipes out for us to clean ourselves, and put hand sanitizer out at the front. That’s it. As a fellow employee, I would appreciate the center closing down, so they can clean, and give time for everyone to deal with this virus. They said we could possibly close down, but I don’t see it happening. This place doesn’t care about its employees at all. I’m very disappointed to work for a company like this, at harsh times like this.

Employee at a bps mall location. Mall is closed but we will be opening an hour early and staying open until further notice.

Corporate emails say no more than 4 to a meeting yet retail associates are expected to continue business as usual.

Money hungry close minded ignorance.

Corona Virus is such a Joke I am glad they are still open one of the few places I like to shop. I appreciate all the workers who are there, getting a paycheck. If I still have to go to work. You still have to go to work. Just be safe and take precautions.

It's apparent bass pro does not care, they love that people are stocking up on ammo during this.

Boomers.

Basspro has instituted rules to protect executives and office workers while knowingly exposing the retail workers to covid19. It's okay to be face to face with thousands of customers a day but executives can't be in meetings of more than 4 people. Enjoy the extra panic money Johnny at the expense of your employees, now you're exposed for what you are.

Bass Pro in Foxboro had 300 people for the second day in a row. No intentions of closing. Profits before people

For the good of humanity please just shut down!! Too many people in one area is not good at all. Don’t hurt the people that come in and work for a company that is supposed to care during a global crisis.

They won’t shut down until someone tests positive for the virus all they care about is guns and ammo being sold, so much for a family fun outdoor store! They do not care!!
