From inside sources, bonuses were handed out to the (remaining) beguiled employees probably in an attempt to retain and allay future concerns. This happened after the most recent round, so probably after the review cycle. Apparently, the best bonus in recent memory. I guess there was plenty to go around after the round of cuts happened.

I got no bonus
It's not a matter of negotiating them. It's a matter of having them artificially "fixed"
What company let's you negotiate your rating?
Crooked! But screw them. Ssnc won't be around much longer with their cash flow issues and now money being tight.
Trust me they pocketed plenty. Bonuses were allocated to those on the last layoff when bonus amounts were determined by management but it was 'DECIDED' by management to not pay to those involved in layoff after allocations were already locked down. They pocketed all that money. Sorry as bonuses were earned in the previous year.
My bonus is a severence check. Got a nice check to leave and starting tommorow at my new job making 18K more. Of course I have to telecommute thanks to covid-19 but all in all better in the end.
Apparently not in all departments , and I had a great review
The bonuses are unbelievable, but, at what cost to the staff? I guess there is nothing wrong with being in it simply for the money. I think that's gonna bite the company right in the rear eventually. They have such a horrible culture there. If you at all care about a pleasant place to work - don't work here. If you can go in with pure stone cold emotions for the company and the people you work with, you just may last long enough to get the annual bonus. It won't be much unless you're top rated, and they have a finite number of people who will get that rating. It doesn't matter how good you think you are, and forget trying to negotiate your rating - if you're a 3 when management gets done calibrating your rank, you're a 3. If you have a decent management team, this process will at least be done objectively. If not, they'll apply it on gut feelings and likability. Either way, don't expect justification for your score. It'll be boiled down to things like "you don't respond to email fast enough" and c-ap like that. To be honest, most of the people who got 3s deserve it. It's the people who get pushed down from 3 to 2 or 1 that get shafted. Somebody has to fill those score quotas. It's not negotiable. I've been part of these conversations - there are no managers courageous enough to stand up...and I don't blame them - they'd just be replaced if they did.
Can confirm that bonuses are handed out and that I’m beguiled.
