Oh you can bet the back areas will be open for salaried, full-time, full-time variables and contractors during the park closure; not even COVID-19 will delay the openings of our new rides.

Making full timers work and protecting the part timeres makes you woder. Since that id–t SR took over its been 5 CEOS well well seems hes been at the helm for like 5 or 6 years now. Its a good thing he has nothing to do with carnival. Mis Mangentment is not the fault of employees. Everybody who is full time and expected to show up please do. And when we reopen thats whenyou call in. We need to stand up and say enough is enough. If we can get that id–t out if he didnt buy the rest of the stock at 9.90 the company will survive.

Let’s go to the media or hr with it’s not fair what if someone happens to get sick during those hours they are forcing us to work! Let’s take it to both!

Looks like someone missed the memo in regards to the complaints about such things like crazy sock day.

Crazy sock day in itself is fine. Go nuts. Have all the crazy socks you want and the days to show them off.

Our complaints about them stem towards that the powers in charge think that holding crazy sock day in a week supposedly dedicated to employee appreciation is somehow supposed to make us feel appreciated. Like taking away our up front vacation and sick time, being overworked and underpaid, treating us like we are criminal when we request to order supplies, etc etc is supposed to somehow be erased because they think having us wear "Crazy socks" means they suddenly appreciate us.

Holy hell the ultimate slap in the face for "appreciation" is when the leadership tries to stay open right up until the mayor basically bans us being open just so they can make money while we have a virus outbreak in progress. I do not know about anyone else, but I sure didn't notice any extra cleanliness things in place such as extra people cleaning to get rid of germs around the last couple of days... We were given extra hand sanitizer. Wooooo!

Maybe the media would pick up on more Seaworld related stories if people didn’t spam these forums crying about stupid $h!t like how they hate crazy sock day.

I think the media should be alerted that hourly ambassadors are not getting full pay (40 hours) and that we have to use 8 hrs of PTO.
Great way to mislead the public as usual. It’s never full disclosure even though we are a public company.

You know whats really funny about this message and the commentary? About how this is being done for our safety and such?

Seaworld wasnt going to close. They were going to remain open because the CDC or whoever they were waiting on did not give the recommendation to close. What ultimately forced their hand was the fact that the mayor of orlando banned gatherings of more than 250 people. After THAT this decision was made. So full time or part time or even salaried, remember you are not being cared about. Its only the money.

They should not even be open this weekend. But hey, gotta make one more weekend of money from seven seas!

Looking like plant engineering, animal teams and rescue are essential personnel. Along with security.

Initially hourly was told to leave and not come in next week. Now hourly was told to work 32 hours next week but if they want those 8 hours to hit 40 hours they need to use holiday time or paid time off.

You know why info isn't posted. Our management team has to find the decision makers who are at home and not answering their phones.

Why is the park status NOT POSTED on seaport or emergency #? And no word from my dept sups either. Wtf?!?

Corporate was told they are going to work from home. All I learned so far.

Wonder who they are considering essential personnel that will be working for their pay while the others will be getting their pay to stay home and be safe?
