Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

Silence from SWN leadership on Covid-19

Swn swn swn
Lack of communication and lack of preparedness from Leadership sums up the current state of the company.

Lack of real leadership.

It's very telling when schools and local governments can make decisions more swiftly.
Nill pay will send some out of touch email from his lakehouse while gazing at lake conroe reflecting on how he could cut more to make a bigger bonus. I wonder JM, if covid-19 takes out just a handful I won't have to have another layoff. This quarter.

ELT and middle management are so far out of touch it's pathetic.
Hurry up and get this company in good enough shape to sell. We all want a package!
You know it's toxic when your only joy is watching the ELT or any management fumble over and over again on the smallest of decisions. The ones who got laid off should count their blessings.
And still no communication from your top notch management!
Way to go! Letting all your employees down 5 years running.
Nill Pay Entrepreneur of the Year!

Let’s level set here.

Dumb plus ask (change the k for an s cause
of the dirty word filter) equals ligma

The fact you put the thought into your post tells all us employed SWN stalwarts is enough to know you did not make the cut and we’re given a pink slip.

So buh bye and glad you are not walking the hallways here anymore

Last thing. You got owned by a SWN employee!!!

Um, yeah... ok. If you ever think SWN is doing ok, you’re either the CEO or a full fledged dues paying SWNTARD. Please come pick up your membership card along with your complimentary egg frittata at your earliest convenience!

Layoffs are imminent!

internet + anonymity + idle time = layoff information board full of the worst. Having more than 2 brain cells to rub together would tell you gas companies may do OK but don't let that rustle your jimmies... stay focused on the burning hatred and sh– jokes.

You can call it a furlough, but we call them LAYOFFS here! More layoffs to come! COVID-19 layoffs.. This company is doomed. They shouldn't have built the campus over an old indian burial ground...

so let's recap or layoffs timeline:

  • August 2015
  • January 2016
  • June 2018
  • Feb 2020

*COVID 19 2020 (to be announced)

SWN needs to outsource depts or begin a furlough program. How many people are alloyed in an elevator? Corporations need to man up and do what’s right!

Nill is so accustomed to the line of brown-nosers who serve as his human bidets, that he no longer recognizes the difference between a square of toilet paper and a pink slip. So for now on, if you need to take a dump on company time, you can up a pink slip from your manager.

If SWN did run out of toilet paper, they could stock up on Q-tips. But then wash your hands for 40 sec.

Update, update, update! Leadership coordinated with officials from CDC, WHO, and the White House. They all laughed and said we were already small enough to not have to work from home and employ “social distancing” due to our last 4 years of continued layoffs! We have plenty of space to spread out!! Pro tip: always use social distancing techniques when in the same building as our CEO, especially on Egg Fritatta day. Who’s kidding? That’s every day! Happy St Pattys Day!!

Ok folks, we’re in a dire situation. The procurement group has failed miserably and didn’t order enough TP to sustain us during these pandemic times! Their leader has been laid off. We’ve implemented an innovative strategy in conjunction with the Market to ensure work in the office continues seamlessly despite the lack of toilet paper. The Market will be serving corn on the cob, and in turn, please retrieve a used corn cob for arse wiping going forward until further notice. Sharpies will be provided to write your name on your corn cob. Thanks for your cooperation. —Management.

SWN personnel need to be working from home, if not already.

This is legit. TP is being rationed except for TT this Floor 5. His majesty has unlimited TP for all future non flushed toilets. Leadership

SWN should conduct toilet paper classes. How much toilet paper is necessary in one sitting, so to prevent waste? Has SWN appointed toilet paper monitors at each restroom to prevent stealing? Management should consider awarding toilet paper for good behavior and bonuses.

Layoffs will happen in 30 days. Solid source says 19% (hint Covid-19). Layoffs before we know it

saw that matador resources cut their ceo's salary by 25%, and by the way their balance sheet, especially debt load (long-term and short-term), free cash and share holder equity, looks similar to swn's. how come the board doesn't hold swn upper mgmt. more accountable for this corporate financial sh..storm???

Kind of like Harvey when no decision was made to close the office for days because one person's palace on Lake Conroe had not flooded, so what was the big deal?

Agree. While Nill and Jenny write that email to reinforce how much they care about the people and they are just following the stupid meaningless Formula, dozens of people could be exposed to a co-worker who unknowingly got the virus.

I wonder if we will learn later that Nill Pay isn't a human after all and he's some cyborg sent to destroy the good people of SWN.

Zero empathy, zero concern for anyone other than himself, and zero integrity – that's Nill!
