I have not been scheduled since January 4th. I see that I am scheduled second week of February, that is a long time without hours. I have no idea what is happening. I will find out when I show up in February. I did watch CEO podcast, but that was not really clear. He said he was not responsible for cut hours. I probably will never find out. I see a big difference from four years ago when I started at Lowe's. Things have gotten sloppy and inventory wastes much time, product is not where it should be. Customers get mad because website says we have in store, but we cannot find. Many customers have left in despair. It is humiliating work.

They have been cutting hours heavily at my store since before Christmas. Assume that is so the managers and corporate can make their numbers and get their bonuses. You have to remember their priority is making the "books" look good for the investors so the stock price keeps going up. Its also painfully obvious they are not in the least bit concerned about us, the employees. At some point the companies gross sales will start to reflect the negative effects of all their cuts and woefully inept processes. Customer social media postings are not favoring many of the recent changes at Lowe's, particularly the new third party delivery service. While corporate is so fixated on micromanaging store costs they have taken their eye off of the ball. They are also totally failing to address the free fall in company moral. I really think 2020 will be the year of the reckoning if they stay on this trajectory much longer. Hey but not to worry cause the new hanger for the company aircraft in Charlotte should be completed soon.
i agree with everthing being stated here , dont be fooled by Money man marvin's silver tongue and smooth talk ,all he cares about is making money for himself and the stockholders ,which was evident in the way the [FSA's and Assemblers's ] positions were eliminated ,these positions were the LOWEST earning positions in the store , there was no reason to eliminate them , have you seen the bathrooms and sales floor at any Lowe's ??? Most are disgusting , How is this company saving money when they are using 3 outside vendors to do the job that was assigned to ONE EMPLOYEE !!!
File for unemployment.
OUR TAMPA STORE SENDS PART TIMERS HOME BECAUSE IT IS SLOW, THEN THREATENS TO FIRE THEM IF THEY DON'T CALL ON THEIR DAY OFF AND OFFER AVAILABILITY. Way to GO! MARV!
Leave Lowe's asap. They do not deserve employees who care, with competence.
The job market flooded. Go find something better and never look back. Lowe's is trash.
You're lucky to not have gotten the auto-terminate letter from corporate HR.
Early last year, one of our PT folks wasn't scheduled for 2 weeks and got fired by corporate. Store management cancelled that and put her on the schedule again.
