Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Production Mono RSE off to Guatemala to train.

Production Mono RSEs off to Guatemala to train their replacements.

Lets take over 30 years of experienced 2nd level hotline people off to South America to train new hires to replace them to support the field on all Nuvera, DocuPrint and D series products.

Good luck to field service guys if you need support on tough problems.

Not even sure what they are going to do to analyst or customer calls.

I hate to say it, but I'm glad I was IRIF'd. The real losers are the customers who do not know whats going on. Some do, but a lot don't.

Brilliant plan ... even better than buying ACS!
Gotta love it.

@pqy+13gSNvpm:

There may be a difference geographically, but probably not in service delivered.

Now this is absolutely frightening, these people have never even worked on a machine and they’re basically working from a playbook and that is after the customer is expected to execute the 1st phase/step in trouble shooting the problem? Seriously, why the flock would you want a Xerox product? My guess is the wizards coming up with these cost saving ideas are CLUELESS and part of C-Suite.

Are XBS analyst positions going to be eliminated/outsourced?

I do the Analyst and customer calls, we expect to get 2 weeks notice tomorrow or Feb 14th.
All our devices have already been shipped to either India (They take the hardware 2nd level calls) or Guatemala (They are starting to take the software/network calls)

Nobody on any of the 2nd level teams expects to make it to March.

I've already heard from a tech that the "technical support" they get from these guys is nothing more than asking if they followed the steps in the eDoc. These people have never worked on the device and have no practical knowledge to offer.

Its true. All Office Color is being sent to India as well. Hear that flushing sound, it's the sound of Xerox going down the toilet!

@cbx
Oh my
No
You don’t stress the Specialist and Analysts that have their own jobs and responsibilities to assume the job of another team and expect that disastrous setup to be the answer.
Unless of course you were being sarcastic and in that case, my response is rriiiggghhhtttt (and a wink and a nod)

It means you call to get a log and that's it. You call a colleague or a specialist to get a fix. Most of the latter have been around for 20-30 years so use them while you can.
