In San Antonio the only ones that want to be a Forman are the laborers. All the craft people that tried the FIT quit when they realized it wasn’t worth the couple of dollars extra. The laborers would do anything to get out of dumping toilets which they only did 5% of the time anyways.

Foremen are a useless position just like the MYO MOP'S can't wait till the company does cuts on management they are so clueless as to how trains really work...College degrees will get u no where but living out on the streets working for the UP
Foreman that made sacrifices? All the ones I came across have been promoted for: lawsuits, injuries, nepotism, screw-up..move up, falsely claiming PTSD, and cronyism. None have advanced with qualifications..none!
You’ll be working 12 hours a day 6 days a week. On call with terrible benefits and insurance.
Any shift at anytime. Don’t think differently.
Get out of this industry ASAP
They are trying to get some of them as their new "managers" all they have to do is get paid salary, work twelve hours a day, and if I remember correctly doesnt non agreement pay more for health care? Personally i would go back to the craft and turn wrenches but most of those foreman probably wont.
Hard working foremen? Where are you located? Where I'm at it's all people who flunked out of their craft and cant manage to not have crane issues with only 2 engines in the shop.
You don’t need foreman when you don’t fix any engines or cars. Just leave the trains broken down on the main.
Pure greed thanks Lance , all about money pure greed pure evil American GREED
