Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Why doesn't this fact embarrass Windstream management and BoD

One thing that Management never mentions and desperately tries to ignore is Windstreamer's wages do not keep even with inflation and have not for several years.
When I discuss this situation with family, friends and industry insiders they are shocked. Then I explain how the executives compensation, after running the company into CH11 has grown many factors above inflation their reaction changes from shock to anger.
This is the truth.....just wondering if this fact is bothersome at all to those running Windstream.
Post something on Stream acknowledging this FACT at least - say you are sorry that you have failed the workers as Leaders. Even the worn out 'There is nothing I can do' would at least acknowledge this painful truth. Still waiting to get my butt in gear in 2020, but that requires a FREAKING INCENTIVE!!

Tony explained it here in Upstate during the last layoff. If you don't like the company....leave. I watched my Director's face turn to absolute terror. I am applying for new work ASAP. In the words of a legend "When someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE THEM"!!!

I think they explained a while back the tax cuts didn't help us because we have lost so much money in recent years we're not actually paying taxes to begin with lol. It really is god awful to be an employee here some times. A lot of days it seems like everything you touch is garbage, nothing you do is good enough, and there is no way to win. The rules and objectives of the game change pretty much daily. 99% of the work force has checked out and is just drawing a check until they can't anymore.

No raises or bonuses for years and windstream contributes very little to employee health benefits, worst benefits in the industry by far. Couple that with large corporate tax cuts in recent years. And windstream still goes under......but the LR5 have been compensated to the point that they never have to work again.

Embarassed? The Arkansas 5 never cared about you. It's unfortunate that any of us had to cross paths with these lowlifes in our lifetime. Worse health insurance and salary, these people don't care if you die as long as they get paid. This Uniti scam they had going would've went on for god knows how long if it wasn't for Aurelius.

I believe the answer to this is that management and the BOD would actually have to have a conscience in order to “feel”. This is obviously not the case as they don’t seem to mind going along in their normal “business as usual” days. Otherwise, they would have forfeited those KEIP incentives to give employees a little “thanks” for their hard work rather than sending them out the door with their walking papers.

I left Windstream 2yrs ago and have received 3 raises and 5 bonuses since at my new company. When I explained to co-workers how I received one raise and no bonuses in my last 5yrs at windstream their jaws drop.....they ask how they can do that as taxes go up every single year. Its crazy to think I stuck it out at windstream for as long as I did. It really is a horrible place to work.
