Search anthem jobs and then search within the 5 HCSC states. Jobs populate and anthem doesn’t offer blue products in these states.

Yes, Anthem operates in all or most of the 50 States. In the States where they don't own the Blues license, they operate under Amerigroup (a previous acquisition from years ago). So in the 5 HCSC Blues States, the jobs that are "Anthem" jobs are under the Amerigroup name/operations. This has been going on for years. In the States where they don't own the Blues license, they are direct competition to the agencies that do.
Ignore my previous question. However, I looked at Indeed and found reviews of jobs by Anthem employees in specific locations in Texas (or working remotely) that went back to 2015. So, it appears that this is nothing new and, I assume, supporting their existing business.
The job titles I saw in the reviews were the same or similar to the current positions I saw posted.
It is possible of a merger, but with all the complexities of going from not for profit to reporting to shareholders, I would think a merger with a like type of structure would be desired. But, who knows?
Why would they be expected to?
