Precint chairs and volunteers had problems downloading the app and even if they could most could not login to it. In the "unlikely " event of problems the backup was supposed to be a help desk/hotline. It was quickly overwhelmed. The media was even flooding the hotline with results requests keeping the lines busy for the real reporting from the precincts. A real circus because the DNC demanded that the state Democratic party use some app just because paper ballot and local counting is so lame LOL .

One of the reasons the app failed was because there is very little 4G or even 3G cell service in portions of rural Iowa. There apparently are other reasons too, but from what I am hearing poor cell coverage is one of them.
