Was a locomotive foreman for 27 years and have recently retired and can't believe the union are allowing this dismantling of the arasa union . What the F are you thinking. This could be beginning of the end. STRIKE !!!!!

The machinist foremen were nothing more than grease monkeys who never knew how to do their jobs in the first place. Now they have to go back to breaking locomotives and changing brake shoes.

The foreman at my shop are mso’s and machinists that are too lazy or dumb to do their regular jobs.
They only thing they were ever good at was s—ing mgt balls.
Foreman is basically a babysitter. Majority of foreman were MSO that has no knowledge of electrical or machinists tasks. True shop foreman are the most knowledgeable person in the shop or actually will find the answer for you. Not surprised that they cut foremans and really surprised they created that position. What they need to do is have few super tech positions that actually can help the guys on the floor. They deserve the wages
