NJ Unemployment

If you took the VSP in December 2018, can you file for unemployment in NJ?
It is over a year at the point and technically, if you cannot find employment you shouldn't be disqualified.

That was in NJ. Verizon said they wouldn't fight it and they didn't, It was Unemployment that fought it. Had a few other coworkers that did the same. Verizon never shows up for the meetings with Unemployment and Lawyers. Goid luck.

I filed as soon as I got my payout. Unemployed paid for a couple of months and then rejected my claim. Got a Lawyer for $800 and won. I collected about $18,000.

depends on NJ's rules. Go to their website and review the rules. Many states disqualify you for unemployment if you voluntarily terminate employment. The VSP was voluntary.
