Retail is not back filling SM jobs, and not posting for openings. Looking at a headcount reduction at the store leadership level. Possible GM/Indirect Account Manager position merger, however not confirmed. Leadership reduction is confirmed.

What area is this where old brick and mortar is bucking the trend?
In my area they just increased the SM headcount for 2 stores from 2 SM’s to 3 due to traffic. Also several stores that they were not backfilling SM’s for are now hiring for them. They looked at the numbers and saw that it wasn’t worth cutting out SM’s for the most part at this time due to scheduling and surprisingly productivity and profitability. Having decent management they saw can boost profit at a location.
There are over 87 Solutions Managers jobs posted right now, 4 store openings in my area alone, both with 2 SMs, have three postings for SMB Specialists in my area. This is fear monger if that facts don’t support. Outside of the BAS layoff, pure fiction here
They just got rid of the BAS position for B2B it his morning nationwide.
Rumors going around that Retail SMB is going away soon as well.
Was told that layoffs are unlikely to happen for SM’s but instead they will just slowly fire them and not backfill them when they either promote or leave. It’s cheaper that way instead of offering packages
Love it. To Hell with that place
