What are they looking for any id–t to take the job that will be gone in 6 months and you’ll have to look for another job good luck 🍀
As long as you explain to the interviewer that you will only hold productive long term employees and let new slackers slide...ya should be ok...
I’m a manager and yes u will work a lot of hours but the money is good and if you plan on staying at Sams then your gonna have to move up either as a lead or manager if you want to be able to live a half way decent life unless you don’t mind living on government assistance. I laugh when all these young guys that still live at home in there upper 20’s and beyond, some don’t even own a vehicle but they will tell me no way I’d be a manager and work those hours. I’m not talking to you long term people that are maxed out on pay I’m talking to the newer people. That 2% raise that everyone gets is not going to keep you from living paycheck to paycheck it just proves if you plan on staying at Sams try to advance. At least if you become a lead your pay goes to 18 an hour. How many years will it take you to get to 18 an hour with a 2% raise. I’m not saying being a manager is great but the money is pretty good.
They should ask about technology and utilizing tools that help you do your job, about decision making and thinking on your feet (name a time you had to make a decision) they will ask a question about a poor decision that you can change in the future.. And they will ask a question about adapting quickly and teaching others how to adapt to company changes and new ideas. Good luck!!
Be confident & be ready for constant change
my advice....DON'T DO IT....you'll regret it. The "title" isn't worth it!
They are looking for a dedicated employee, who cares about the company. They are looking for someone who can get the job done. There is no home life, only work life when you have a salary position. It is similar to other companies and professions.
Forget about having a life outside of work, they will drain you . If your lucky you will have a good group of associates to work with but in the long run your associates will not care and you will do all the work.
To the former associate and others like them that continue to post on this site.
Clearly Sam's is not that bad or else you wouldn't care enough to take the time out of your life to get on this site when you dont work here anymore.
You moved on with your life. Congrats! You probably were an entitled brat that thinks way too much of themselves anyway. You got fired or displaced from a position that is no longer needed and you are bitter. Its understandable. But you found a new job. You are happy. Its time to move on with your life. We don't miss you. Get on with your life and PLEASE shut the hell up!
Please understand me clearly!!!! Don’t do it!!!!! Stay in your position you’ll regret it later... Thank me later💯
All you have to be able to do is follow your superiors blindly and do as they say ...No way in hell i would be a manager in any of these clubs
My advice, reconsider, don't do it and if you do remember we warned you not too. This is coming from a 26 year former associate who heard from many who went into the the program and regretted it . Remember with this company you are only a number and a body ! Good Luck !
Have you seen the people they it as managers?.... you barely have to show up
Basically someone who can breathe and blink.
