Every service unit has their try hards that think doing extra for UP makes them hard workers when actually they’re just two-faced douchebags. They would ruin a strike and show up to work without question. A real id–t engineer would even run alone during a strike and pretty sure again every service unit contains at least one company loving mo–n that s— in life.

Nobody is gonna or will ever strike.
1 man crews, longer trains, less humps, less yards, less managers, less conductors, less mechanical, no car 4s, less of everyone and everything is the future. Take that one to the bank. Guaranteed!!

From what I’ve seen, there’s more managers than before

As a higher up in the union the BLE will never stand with the UTU after the RCL incident. They've been waiting for this day. We screwed up a long time ago and now we want to talk about banding together. Get your resumes ready people the storm is coming. 100%. You have not seen anything yet.

Here is the real truth about a strike by your union natl brass, if you strike , Uprr can sue the union and it’s members for damages occurred during a strike. Therefore destroying the union and of course it is federally blocked by a court order within 15 min the strike would be over. Sad strike truths

Reply to 1dlr, I suggest to merge all railroad “crafts” into one, like the steelworkers. All of the carriers are in one basket, yet we are separated and bashing each other. No wonder we are defeated.

UTU and BLE need to stand together as ONE VOICE nation wide. Together as ONE we can accomplish anything.

Suit was filed by union on behalf of all UPRR GENERAL CHAIRMEN, just a formality to cover their rear end. UPRR WINS THIS ONE BEND OVER ROVER

Love seeing UP get negative publicity like this.

They’ve been tripping over themselves lately posting stories on social media about crews saving dogs on the tracks and other bs. Bet that superintendent wanted to charge them for delaying the train.

Chicago should be applauded. Even if it is ultimately shut down by the courts at least they're doing something. A lot of these union leaders are just lying on the side of the road playing dead.

San Antonio local chairmans would never have the balls to file a lawsuit against UP.

@ngq+13x3d4Vp it's about power. they are elitists and think they are better than field employees. like you said they're not even paid sick days. there have been instances where people have had notes from doctors, been charged with absenteeism, provided the documentation and still charged. it's all done on a local level, and the way rules are enforced varies from region to region. the company has a very old school style of management and it's no wonder they have been ranked the worst company in America to work for.

Why is Chicago the only service unit filing a lawsuit? Every service unit system wide should be filing lawsuits about the new attendance policy.

I’m not sure why the company gets so upset about people taking off. If you are on the extra board, they save money by not paying your daily rate, but also they keep your mark up bonus too. It’s not like they have to shut down business because I want to be a father and attend some of my kids events. They have supplemental boards and AWTS boards to pull people from.

I don’t think the office workers in Omaha realize that 75% of us out here have no schedule, no set days off, no sick time, no extra accrued vacation time for staying marked up. You will work everytime they need you or they will try to get rid of you.

Which in the end, they want anyway. I’m sure they’re praying everybody violates their “Archaic” policies so they can start to thin the herd. I’ll back a strike just to watch the meltdown happen.
