Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

HP will NOT join Xerox

This is the end of Xerox. HP will announce their intention to do a stock repurchase on Monday the 24th to stop Xerox from pursuing them. Result, Xerox is left without option #2 and collapses from drastic cost cutting and outsourcing of key employees in every facet of the company. Be warned. Xerox is dead man walking

XRX shareholders: Take Saturday to decide how much risk you want to take here. You’ve got plenty of items to help in your decision making. Unless you are blindly chasing EPS (and Vanguard, if this is you I am moving to UBS) you have SO much technical data to inform your decision.

The craziness of all this is that the shareholders will suffer unless they immediately sell out. This merger dooms HPQ. XRX is already doomed under John V.

HP and Xerox? Let's slap these two bricks together and see if we got ourselves a lifeboat!

You are ignorant if you think this merger will not happen. How it happens? I don't care, but I do know that it will happen. Icahn is way out ahead of HP. They will be wining and dining HP's largest shareholders in CT tomorrow with the promise of a payoff today, and 49% ownership in the new company tomorrow. So, the HP shareholder gets a 40% premium on the stock price at the announcement of the offer, plus they get an equity stake in the new company at essentially no cost? I think those shareholders will take that deal. They don't care about the company, they care about the MONEY!

Icahn only c–trolls XRX becuz of the combined disasters of the Fuji deal, Jacobson, and Deason leverage. It won’t be so easy with HP. Especially now that XRX leadership is primarily made up of ex-HP failures, disliked by HP board, employees, and investors.

So we have a current Xerox employee here who hopes everyone loses their job. I understand your hatred for Xerox as a former 30+ yr employee but f— you for wanting people to lose their livelihoods just so you can get the satisfaction of a Xerox implosion.

Icahn will force them. Look how easy it was for him to take over XRX.

I still work for Xerox and I hope the place implodes
Everyone is going to lose their job in time that’s there even if they don’t get that yet so I want to see it implode like a supernova
Bring it!

Who can blame them? Carl Icahn and people like him destroy the fabric of society by r*ping companies, laying off thousands and leaving once formerly stable corporations teetering on bankruptcy.

HP has also hired lawyers that know how to fight Icahn. HP will never team up with Xerox. HP is slowly shutting down their print (ink) division and focusing on other products. Why would they team up with another print company? FYI, I work at HP in R&D.
