Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Let’s all try to get on the same page

Hey let’s try to use this page to benefit those of us left as agreement workers advantage if anyone sees or hears shady $hit going down at their location share it here no matter what craft you might be. In the end we all are here to get a paycheck and go home to our families and trashing each other isn’t going to do anything but keep dividing us and this company wants that. The bigger the divide the easier it is for management to say we are just acting disgruntled (yea I realize a good majority of agreement employees are fed up with this company), and if we can keep the shady stuff on the radar maybe someone’s local chairman or union rep will take up arms to help (yes I realize not much can be done but let’s go down actually swinging). And yes I realize there are probably tons of grammatical and punctuation errors in this post but cast that aside and try to just see this as a tool that we can use against the company no matter how someone try’s to get their message across.

So many people trying to focus on the things we have no control over. Quit looking at the past and move towards the future. Both union and management are being slaughtered. Folks in the “glass palace” go to work for a paycheck everyday. They have families, bills, etc. Shady MTOs and MYOs do not represent all management, just as shady engineers or machinists don’t represent the lot. I look forward to all of the negatives you have to say about this post, but step outside of your own hate and see you’re not the only group of people affected by everything going on in the company. Band together as union and grunt management...novel idea.

I’m not out to impress management I’m here to get paid and go home at this point. F##k impressing anyone from the glass palace at the end of the day they don’t give a $hit about any of us agreement workers other than saying we are costing them money that they “desperately” need to give to the stockholders, money they cost themselves when they f##ked up running off paying customers.

I think the banding together stopped when our UTU union undercut the BLE for RCL. That's why the UTU is not part of the group of Unions combining during this negotiating process. The UTU out there on the own yet again. Sad. They're gonna get squashed and we all will be out of a job. Well, most of us. I'm sure if you have 20 yrs of seniority you will probably survive and thrive. THANKS UTU! ADIOS GUYS!!!

you aren’t going to impress management one way or another and even if you do it doesn’t matter. People can post what they want to on here. If you aren’t interested in the thread then skip it and move on to the next one.

Totally agree that we should ban together and stop bashing each other over things that are not important to the cause. Hope we can get the other one to agree. We shall see.

And before someone cries I’m not a manager just another gravel pounding grunt trying to make it to retirement or the next lay-off
