RE: Still over 10k employees ? that number probably includes the people overseas that took our jobs.
Still over 10k employees?! Sure isnt techs or engineers......what makes up that headcount? Guessing alot of execs families in little rock.
I have had to contact HR to see if people still work at Windstream. Can’t get the work from home engineer to respond to emails or VMs when calling snd emailing three time a week for 2 months, so I try to contact their manager but after no response over a month I go to the director.....no response in over a month so I then reach out to HR who confirms all these people still work here but says “this happens all the time and just keep trying”. Windstreams network has been falling apart for a while and there is nowhere to turn for support because everyone works from home and does not reply to email or VM, its insane......no wonder this place is going out of business, there is ZERO leadership from any level of management and employees have checked out.
Cut C-level by a third. Cut workforce 20%. Consolidate ( which means you either move to keep job or your on unemployment line) sites to 3 locations. Make all upper management report to those locations. Might be okay but it won't happen with this management team. Maybe Elliots New direction will see light.
Was there a source to these numbers?
"Mathematically more layoffs are required to make the company profitable."
How many people do we NEED to run the total company?
same with a dead CLEC business?
How many for ILEC?
I completely agree. I know a good deal of employees that could be let go and Windstream would see no operational difference.

These are current numbers. I have no info about future layoffs.
Are people being laid off today?
