Kroger not requiring employees to wear gloves. Stockers, cashiers, baggers etc. Food dept. only wearing when handling food. So all packaged items bought have been touched. Cashiers touch every item in every customer's cart that they have touched and all monies paid at register. How is this stopping the spread. Why aren't employees over age 60 allowed to stay home before they become infected? We've been working short handed for a few years now with no help from the unions. If we can afford to stay home, we should be allowed. My health, my decision. Bottom line, profits. Worked there over 10 years, busiest I've ever seen our store. Not about being there for customers, Kroger is making mega cash. We'll just hire new people to work while you're recovering, if you recover! Kroger hasn't cared about their employees for years now.

Kroger stop caring about their employees when they started going international, Now instead of board of directors being brought up through ranks of Kroger. You have people from Sweden and Switzerland over logistics and other vital areas of company. And they are totally disconnected from workers. And Kroger CEO’s want it that way.
Most everything Kroger does, is after the fact. And is usually just to try to save face with public. Kroger at one time, set the pace in grocery business. Now sadly they just follow Walmart. To try to impress the stock holders. It’s sad.
All you need to say is monday is required to ware masks. Only after Walmart did it. Oh temperature checks are coming too. Because walmart already is doing it.
How our company is run in challenging times. Says how we take care of customers and employees health. Probably to busy working on the next audit to care about the health and safety of employees.
