Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Points

I feel like the mangers should have to clock in like associates. We as associates gets points but however your managers can't get to work on time. Who agree with that. It's not right nor fair. Keep up with them lead by example. They are quick to Coach you and they need to be Coach for being late

I am a manager and I’d love to punch in and get paid for all the work I do at home and all the extra hours I have to stay over. I’d love to get paid for all the phone calls and text messages I get from associates that needs help with something even during my vacation. I’d love to get paid for having to work extra hours and getting called in on a regular basis on my days off because company is expected. Bring it on.

Well the truth is the truth and to stay in anybody lane . Maybe the old saying a hit dog will bark. I'm just calling it like most club sees it. Now to that I'm speaking up and speaking out. Some mangers aren't doing the right thing but quick to judge anyone else. Making checking your email would be a sign of clocking in . Then maybe home office can see you signed on and at least responded to it. How you know I'm not a MOD just speaking out.

As a manager, I would just like to add that from the moment I wake up, I reach for my phone to look at my emails to check our club sales or just check any replies to emails I've sent the day before or check our Planit app among other things. Our managers have group texts that we reply to to follow up on anything happening in our club or company that's important even when we are off or getting ready for work. I personally don't mind doing this only because it keeps me updated. But as managers we don't clock in and out and many many times we work longer than the shifts we are supposed to work and every now and then after working those long shifts our club manager allows us to come in a little later or leave a bit earlier which we are grateful for. I'm sure there are many managers that work from the moment they wake up, take conference calls from home and don't complain. Just wanted to say that its not always what you see but a lot what you may not see as well.
