Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

RISKING LIVES

This is a national emergency not a snow day and there is so much at risk this virus doesn’t care who you are. Ask our store manager the other day what would happen if we had in our store a confirmed case of the virus how you could insure that all the surfaces could get cleaned and no original answer from them ..but would just follow what the company guidelines are..and walked away. We all know that there is almost very little help in the way that the stores are taken care of anyway.Theres no real testing being done right now so someone who works at your local store could have it and not know it and then it’s to late ..we will all be at risk.
If you watch and listen to what’s being said right now they are saying we are currently behind and not infront of the virus... How Is Working A Shorter Shift helping to protect your most valuable assets...your colleagues...If we being this home to our loved ones..then I can’t work and will never forget how callus executive decision was made and at what cost. I realize very have teens, moms, grandmas, grandfather’s and people from very walk from life and they MUST be protected. Think about it this way with all of our employees what are the different ways we come into contact with the public .....SO MUCH RISK...this is not a game!!!!!!!.......this is real

Macy's does not have the proper cleaning in place for everyday use never mind the COVID virus so how will they be able to say their stores are cleaned for the virus issues. Any one of you that worked or currently works at Macy's knows that the stores are not cleaned properly. Janitorial staff used the bathroom mops to mop the tile floors on the sales area! How is that sanitary at all? You all should not be surprised at the actions of this company.

I’m so sorry you and your colleagues have been at risk. Macy’s will be forced to closed.
Nordstrom, Sephora, Apple, Lulu and other great retailers have already made the decision out of an abundance of caution for their teams and customers ..... and because it’s the right thing to do! Too bad Macys didn’t take the lead. It’s all back office “how can we cut costs and survive this”
Their compassionate response will be published only after the government shuts all retail down for a few weeks.
