Please call for help if your engine won’t start because you are too lazy to spin the seat around and press start, or won’t load because you won’t bend over and pull the driving stick from you grip, but I’m whining!

They got rid of all the tools, parts, and people, foremen, planners, foreman generals, laborers, clerks, supply, managers, etc.then still expect all of it to get done. Most of your inspections and maintenance are mouse whipped. Trash the cab and toilet, complain about how your own trash and toilet stinks, and then complain about the one or two persons trying to do all of this. Call it whining if you wish and feel safe when you climb on your POS train and highball.
I second the motion!
I'm a mechanic on a system tie gang we went from 7 mechanics to 2 mechanics production went down due to break downs and not enough mechanic to cover all the machines production down cost per tie doubled or tripled some smart people we work for
Exactly. The railroad always had too many people with too much butt time.
If you are doing the job of three more people and are getting the job done then by my way of thinking it was only a one person job to begin with. Just sayin.
I agree with the guy saying he's having to cover three times the work assignment. The problem is now you have three jobs that aren't being done properly or according to standards. But then UP never wanted anyone to do the job they way they trained us. The training and testing was done just to cover their butts when it went wrong saying "we trained them to do it right. I don't know why he did it that way". So just half a–, or in your case, just one third it through each job. Nobody cares. Not UP, not FRA, nobody.
So says the person that is too lazy/useless to start their own locomotive, pick up their own trash, or bring their reverser.
As an agreement employee I have to disagree based on logic alone. If the job is getting done by 3 people then it is no more than a 3 person job. Yes, it is more work per employee than it had been in the past. No, it isn’t a nine person job
LOL! Well since one person has two arms and two legs, one person can only do what one person can do. Doing any more would be physically impossible. Now the only complaint you could have is that you’re busy while you’re at work. That would be whining.
