No one is selling anything, especially cloud related applications. Oracle is dying a slow death.

Nobody was buying Cloud CX apps before Covid19, this is BAU for that pillar

While I have no visibility to other parts of Oracle’s business, I can tell you about mine. Engineered Systems on-prem is BAU and we have even seen additional corporate business. YMMV.

Etc. Etc.

This probably true for everyone in the IT biz. All customers are hunkering down, spending the least possible.

Oracle no longer requires direct sales people, the web click and order is functioning just fine. Product knowledge has all be captured and is available online. Even try and buy, point and click.

I don't see why sales would discontinue: Oracle sells to the public sector; govt; utilities,
not Apple MBP users.

Oracle sells to hospitality companies (MICROS). Do you think any hotel or restaurant chain is currently interested in talking to Oracle about new deals?

Oracle sells to airlines. Do you think any airline is interested in talking to Oracle about new deals?

Oracle sells to manufacturers. Do you think any manufacturer is currently prioritizing talking to Oracle about new deals?

Etc. Etc.

Coronavirus is an opportunity too.

Yes, some people build Corona case tracking systems. Do you think they use Oracle DB?

Former Oracle employee here. Almost no customer wants to talk to Oracle. Coronavirus is a blessing for all of them.

I was around during 9/11. Oracle kept working (good), saying it need to support the DBs and Apps used by emergency services, others (fair). Not so admirabke was the use of 9/11 as an example of the HA of DBs or using Todd Beamer references in a corporate context:
