Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Stock buybacks should be immediately halted!

Real leaders and companies are doing it. Not this place though, they can’t even make simple decisions like that, how do shareholders think they could do anything but hire consultants and RIF people

AIG follows the Game of Thrones leadership model. To heck with the minions, I am going to get mine and that's all I care about.
I am convinced that karma will come back amd bite them. They will set up charitable groups that are more a tax writeoff than helping others. The payback may take a while, but they will reap what they sow.

But what about the money they’re all taking with them to hell?

My guess is that upper management is getting ready to hire a new Global Head of Stock Valuation plus a couple of assistants. Then the Global Head can hire consultants to tell him how to get the stock up.

What could possibly go wrong with that plan?

Think about it - AIG does NOT embody the true American spirit (at the top) so for most American workers their actions don’t reflect the inner most values of the American worker. It’s a house of cards.

Just think if the leadership team took a 50% pay reduction for a year or so to save 500 to 1000 jobs, what a great story that would be. But BD and most of his cronies are too selfish and not that smart to do that.
