Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

What groups will start to lay off first?

I think layoffs are inevitable given the sharp downturn globally. The demand for consulting evaporated over last 2 weeks. Services are working fine as they are long term things, so that's all good but consulting is about to get butchereed big time. I wish you (or us) all the best - we'll need it over next few weeks.

My prediction: Cuts start April 1 - have no inside info basing this on my gut

Have you guys had any cuts so far?

I left in 2017. Went to a client in Automotive. We have been flooded with layoffs and furloughs.

Good luck.

Is anyone hearing about new projects? Been on the bench for about six weeks now and I am feeling anxious (2nd year consultant, SAP, Chicago)...

Resources - all clients are cutting CAPEX, consulting is the first to go .

No dirlling period. Oil and Gas in shambles, will take a decade to recover.

Your best bet is some kind of governement work, but you know how that goups (separate groups, etc.)
