Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

GE Healthcare - Making Ventilators, Aviation - Impacted

I feel blessed to be working at GE Healthcare in Wisconsin...there are no layoffs. We're ramping up production of Ventilators by 100% to help combat Coronovirus and hopefully save lives

However, it's no secret that the aviation and travel industry have been severely impacted, and GE's aviation (engines) will no doubt be impacted in some way, and layoffs will ensue

I pray for all who have been infected, and for the millions that will no doubt be laid off due directly to this pandemic

Let's be clear, it's not about saving lives. It's about $$$.

I'd be confident that GE's massive payroll and non productive times currently happening will cause some further reductions before long.

Let's not forget about the 300+ people in marketing, finance and operations impacted by the required move to Chicago that happened in January. If they haven't agreed to the move or landed other jobs in GE they are out as of August 31st.
