If you go to Macy’s jobs. You will see line cook and Starbucks jobs. I think they will be starting to convert hum drum stores into the new concept ASAP. Problem is I doubt any mall will be open for next 3 months. Plus I think if you’re being paid for next 2 weeks you might be asked to file for fun-employment. I don’t think this will get any better by summer

Good job to all those who have done their home work! It is public knowledge Jeff G's 3 year plan is to close all neighborhood stores in Class C malls. Interesting how he is using managers to close their own stores. Now those managers aren't being told everything. As a previous poster stated...Karma!
If you really knew EVERYTHING, then u would realize that the last thing M is gonna do is invest multiple millions in stores slated to close (neighborhood Macys). What you would see, which is right in front of your face, is the reason behind all Macys are advertising all positions except management-they're gearing up for the loss of all colleagues when they cannot send everyone back to work on the 1st, nor will they be paying colleagues beyond then. Retaining execs leaves us here to hire new staff since so many of you will be seeking other employment when you learn we cant reopen when expected. It is a matter of staffing stores that will desperately need it when we actually can open again.

Do you actually work for Macy's an know anything about The Market by Macy's? This is an off mall concept that they want to open in upscale lifestyle centers. It's NOT a vehicle to convert "hum drum" to. Those locations have been converted to neighborhood stores and will close within 3 years. You obviously know nothing about The Market or you wouldn't have asked such a question.
