Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Wilmington Center shut down

I can’t believe after we learned the South Carolina call center had a positive test that we would remain open. We did till today with positive corona virus test. It was ironic that everyone got their work from home kits Thursday and then they announced there was positive test and closed till further notice.

Hans doesn’t run Wireless. Ronan does. Frankly, we hear too much about Hans on here when it would be more apt to discuss Ronan.

ACTION:
Everyone who cars, email ( I would recommend an email that will hide you identity) live@verizon.com and ask the question on why are they now covering up confirmed cases. Delaying shutting down centers that had a confirmed case. Having people remove Facebook post.

South Carolina employee here. I received a text at midnight on 3/14 that the center would be closed due to a positive case. Come on - they couldn’t tell us anything before midnight on a Sat.?

From others, the person who was sick posted on Facebook, then was asked by Verizon to remove their post. Sounds messed up, and Verizon knew for about a week that he was sick. They kept employees there because they didn't have the hba equipment delivery yet. That came on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Then the announcement came Friday after they got as many workers equipped as possible. Wonder if that was the same thing in South Carolina too?
