Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

so The UP puts out letters to make sure we can get to work. They tell us we are crucial and needed to ensure country get healthcare items. Put out a video to show what good shape the company is in and it doesn’t need a bailout. I see other companies stepping up but not UP. Here’s just a couple of examples: 1- frito lay (chips) paying employees hazard pay for still sticking chips. 2-Contract company on military post paying $100 a week to families in need of childcare so they can work. Money is for any childcare available “until the end of the quarantine” 3-Walmart paying employees out of a 500 million dollar bonus package for coming to work and stocking shelves. I am glad to comment in conversations that UP cares enough about their employees, and is in hazards way, we take the risk of bringing this sh– home to our families, you know what they do ...crickets,crickets. With no answer my other answer is we are still working 18 hours day and not getting claims paid. Still don’t have vans and wait 4 hours plus for a van to get us picked up. It the spray....the spray they said they were gonna provide is...is....nowhere to be friggen seen. Yes, my company considers me family enough to tell me that a ludicrous attendance policy that was create to get rid of employees will not be lifted and changed, no if you get sick, and it’s not the coronavirus.....your fired! Yes UP is like a second family, who takes care of their people!
