Today i heard they got hacked again. Not seeing any news. But a friend in Europe told me there network was down. And after they could log on, it gave a message all files were encrypted.

Helpdesk is still down. Denying a hack indicates service incompetence. Which is it?

What a hack, phones still not operating. How many days later? Who is accountable here-Tino? No-Rash? Stevie CIO dropout?

This is not a result of a hack but IT help desk phone number is still not working 2 weeks later.

I recall reading about that hack, some spokesman quoted assaying it was “minor”. My experience with the benefits site outage and later feature degradation wasn’t minor.

Avaya is & has always been the worst from their hardware to their support. ACS/Conduent used Avaya. Sites we inherited from them had Avaya equipment. A special Xerox team decided to continue with Avaya at many of those call center locations. Expressed my concerns but they knew better. Another service provider manages Avaya and interfaces w/call centers, not Verizon. Karma alright. Doubt very much it was a Verizon breach, especially as it concerns call centers. Too many sub contractors and handoffs

If Verizon caused the outage and claimed a hack, that would be unethical to then offer security services to Xerox to prevent future occurences, would it not? It would almost be like a big 3 audit firm charging to fix audit findings. Also unethical, but it happened did it not?

After seeing a lot of corporate purchase decisions made for personal brand benefit, ethics violations no longer surprise me.

Interesting- Avaya? Verizon is the global network carrier and I assume has not only IPT but is also the “legacy” telco provider as well.

Here a response from Europe. Due to hacking or not, all Xerox telephone lines to the Xerox European Helpdesks for Service and Consumables were down for days last week .. also into this week! According to infos from Xerox Europe there have been problems with the Global Telephony Provider. (No name given who the Global Provider is). Yesterday and today, Xerox Europe have been sending out Emails requesting that Customers install an App on a Mobile telephone, and by using this App, can contact Xerox Helpdesk 'manned' by Telephone Robots who then advise the customer on fixing a problem with the machine. Seriously, do users in an admin office, really know what is wrong with the machine. All sounds like just tryng to save more money. Yep, its becoming a reality .. Xerox has gone from being the 'Document Company' and is now in transition to becoming Xerox, the Virtual' Company. A customer calling Xerox HepDesk meets a telephone which just rings, and rings and rings ...... Some much for Keeping the Customer Satisfied!

That's what you get when the cybersecurity team goes from 30 people down to 3.

Yes they were hacked. You can search it in the news. India is also on lockdown so no one to answer calls or reboot our failing servers
