You should have given them the honest answer. No I'm not installing 5g, that's a pipe dream that won't be operational for 5 to 10 years. I'm installing FiOS, a product that works right now.

I’ve had several random people in the hood ask me if I was putting in 5g.....as previously mentioned elsewhere...many minorities believe that we are either causing the pandemic with our 5g or are intending to to spy/control the city’s denizens...they asked me with a straight face...so I held back on the laughter until after they left my sight....I wish I could control them like the Joker in a bad Batman movie....aaahhh....that’d make working at Verizon much more satisfying.....for me
I'm a copper tech i. Southern NJ. And I can tell you not a day goes by, that I'm not asked by a customer or a random person at a store " when are we going to get fios" so yes people do want it. Verizon just prefers not to give the customer what they want.
