Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Layoff info is useless without a location!

It is pointless to post info about RIFs unless you also post where the RIFs are occurring. And if you have any clue what you are talking about, then you should know where they are taking place. If the RIFs are taking place a particular office or a different business unit then there is no sense in scaring everyone else who works in offices that aren't affected.

@VerticalHold- I admire your optimism, however I worked there for 10 years in a fairly senior role with a good amount of face time with NdC and finally escaped a year and a half ago. Here’s how layoffs work: you get a phone call at 800am and your told “we need a list of 25 names in your unit by 4:00pm today. No exceptions. “
I knew one guy whose boss was once let go and for 6 weeks he didn’t have a new one. He kept doing his job and at one point had an expense report to turn in and didn’t know how to get it approved. Called HR to ask them and told them his boss was let go and was never told who he was reporting to. stunned silence for a second and they said “uhh, we’ll get back to you.”
Another time they laid off an entire CSR team. Didn’t redirect phone lines and calls were coming in and phones ringing for weeks from customers with no one to answer them.
So, no, I wouldn’t hold out hope for a collective improvement of the caliber of work.

I was laid off with most of my team in CA. I was actually one of the best performing managers with a 98% engagement score. Those that were laid off seemed random and a mix of my best and worst performers. Unfortunately they don’t seem to be cutting by performance. Hope everyone stays safe and hang in there.

I was laid off in Queenbury. They made us get on a call and eliminated our jobs. There hasn't been a severance yet.

I think CHC is going to take this opportunity to remove managers who have consistently performed poorly on Employee Engagement Surveys and failed to improve as indicated on their Performance Plans. This would give them a great opportunity to Rebirth their Culture and create solidarity in their mission. This should set forth a rebound effect which could create strong deliverables on set revenue goals for the Fiscal Year. To all those effected by RIF wishing you the most prosperous turnaround this word have ever seen. For those that remain employed continue to fight for the greater good in Healthcare.

If someone posts about a RIF, and leaves out the location, then maybe they don't have a clue and we should just ignore it.
