I was at two camps and they shut them both down in one day. Granted some of us were there afterwards packing up and moving but 95% of everyone was gone within 10 hours. It can be done, but then they have to report those layoffs. Or they can drag it out under the radar until June/July like now and not be on the front page of the news.

There are quite a bit of logistics and challenges involved. You cannot lay-off people in mass as if like sending a mass email. So yes, it takes time and could potentially extend to June.
I heard the same thing from a reliable source. Reductions thru the end of 2nd Q. They were surprised when the email came out that said into May because hr was told a different story.
And the handicap would be a Golf Handicap. If you can’t play they won’t keep you...

It might not take much time to lay people off for an efficient company. However, for a company with a management system as inefficient as HMS it may take a long time.

This makes zero sense. It doesn’t take much to lay people off. It can be done en masse as long as everyone is getting the same package.
HR has just updated the people. We will continue layoffs until 2045 at which time martians will inhabit the earth and bring new technology that will cause massive unemployment and wide spread casualties due to stupidity.
